HOW ARE WE DIFFERENT?
We are a small, privately-owned company dedicated to prioritizing the needs of each individual with special needs. Our approach includes creating person-centered, individualized training plans tailored to each individual’s unique behaviors and needs. We also provide comprehensive training for caregivers, helping them gain a deeper understanding of their individual and empower them to respond with confidence through the assessments we offer. Our goal is to ensure that every person we work with is equipped with the tools necessary to enhance their quality of life and provide the highest level of care. Individuals enrolled in our Crisis Behavior Management Service, gain immediate access to our 24-hour help line, so both the individual and their care giver can connect with a consultant any time they need Crisis support.
We are committed to sharing our knowledge and expertise as behavior and crisis consultants to all care givers and parents of individuals with special needs. We believe this information is crucial for ensuring the long-term well-being of both the individuals we serve and those who support them.

MEET THE TEAM
Barbara Valenzuela
Founder and CEO
Barbara is the Founder and CEO of T&K Innovators.
Inspired by her mother’s work with children with special needs, she began her own journey in the field over 18 years ago. Barbara has since worked with individuals of all ages, in Hawaii and California. Noticing a need for quality behavior services in the Central Valley, she and her family relocated to provide the essential support needed. Barbara enjoys watching re-runs of her favorite shows, Friends and The Office. Her love for music is expansive, from Eazy-E to Chopin to The Beatles. She loves experiencing new things, being in nature and having aha! moments. One of Barbara’s favorite things is to see joy in people’s faces, especially her kids. She feels so blessed to be on this journey with her husband and her family. Her favorite quote is: “You are the author of your own life story, so make it a good one.”
Jennie McNutt aguilar
Operations Manager

Jennie McNutt Aguilar is T&K’s Operations Manager. She excels in operational processes and human resources functions. She handles administrative tasks, ensures compliance with policies, and manages the intake and referral processes. Jennie’s expertise in optimizing workflows and operations play a key role in maintaining the organization’s effectiveness and smooth functioning. Jennie considers herself a foodie, and likes to eat and travel with her hubby and kids in her off time. Melissa Mendez is the BCBA Supervisor of Central Valley
South at T&K Innovators. She has extensive experience working with
individuals with developmental disabilities including those with co-occurring mental health needs. Melissa is empathetic, patient, and kind. She loves helping others and takes pride in leading such an amazing team of Behavior & Crisis Consultants at T&K Innovators. Melissa loves spending time with her husband and her daughter and making wonderful memories with them. When she is not working, Melissa enjoys wine tasting, watching romantic films and horror movies, going on date nights with her hubby, singing, and having fun at Disneyland with her family.
